Plas Newydd is a two phase monument which has been reconstructed, this is the largest of what remains of the two chambers. As with most burial chambers known as Dolmens, Cromlechs or Quoits a covering mound would have been in place during the time it was in use. Photographed during an Archaeology Safari on the island of Anglesey 25th June 2004.
